I have a Flaming Brooski Kingsnake(Florida Kingsnake) and just wanted to know incase im not over feeding him..

He's a pretty fat spoiled snake, and I just wanted to know should I feed him one week, then wait a week, or should I wait a little longer. Cause I know snakes don't eat for awhile after feeding.

  1. Depends on how old it is.

The general rule is to not feed your king snake anything bigger then 1.5 its size.

If its a baby I'd feed every 4-5 days.

If its an adult I'd say once every 7 days, it wouldn't hurt to go longer then that, I wouldn't go past 2 weeks as an adult though.

I would feed it 4 times a month if its an adult.

I would feed it 6-8 times a month if its a baby.

  2. I would feed him once a week or if you money situation isnt at its best wait two weeks at the most and he should be fine. They can go a month without eating easily but then the snake will start to get meaner.
