How many times should i feed my parakeets and a cockatoo???

Should I keep the food in there or put it in and take it out every certain time

Fresh veggies and fruit should only be left in the cage for about an hour.

Pellet food and seed should be available all day, but don't feed so much that there's a ton of left-over food at the end of the day. Parakeets tend to have a mess of seed hulls on the surface of their food dish. Check it once or twice during the day - if you notice a lot of seed hulls, either dump out the top layer, or use your finger to mix it up so that there are fresh seeds on top. Even though *you* know there's more food in the dish, parakeets don't always feel like digging through the junk to get to the food.

Remember to provide fresh water all day. If you notice halfway through the day that there's dirty water, change it out for fresh water. It doesn't take very long for bacteria to start growing, and that threatens your bird's health.

my parrots always had food and water in there feeders and i changes it dailly with fresh food and water they ate when they wanted

I feed my parakeets in the morning and again at night.  I give 1 tablespoon per parakeet each time.  They also get millet hand fed to them more than once a day.
