I don't think less of him .He was retiring because of the cancer that he had. It went into remission and he wanted to go back to racing.

I wonder if his first retirement was the only way to get out of driving the Viagra car. I can only imagine what the jokes in the garage were!

At least one more time. It's Mark Martin. He can do what he wants. If Hendrick had not offered him the 5 car, he'd probably keep on doing his limited schedule. Would you turn down a ride in Hendrick's equipment? Things change and opportunities only come once. I'd probably do the same thing he's doing, but with more truck races.

He was going to retire to help out his sons racing career, but Matt's (Marks son) grades have been slipping and Mark took him out racing and he will probably begin racing again once his grades are up to Marks expectations

I don't think less of him; I am just confused because he has said he was going to retire 3 times at least.  That is ok.  I guess he would not be able to function if he was not racing and I think that he realizes that.

Speaking or retiring.  I'd like to see Viagra be his sponsor again.  I think it would be fitting.
