  1. On the I-5 through the San Joaquin valley, the speed limit is 70 mph and it's 2 lanes each way. .60 mph could get you a ticket - or worse. .Plan on 3 stops for fuel and stop for fuel when you get around the 1/2 mark on the fuel gage. .That way you have a good reserve amount if you encounter any problems. .Top off in Grapevine (at the bottom of the hill) and maybe Sacramento and Chico - depending on the fuel level, time of day, etc. .Try not to drive after dark.

Take your time and all the best.

  2. come on...trick question right?  how big a tank? 12 gallons or 30 gallons???how big a car... a toyota hybred or a hummer? are u serious...old enough to drive?

  3. If you care to stretch it, once.

  4. More information needed are you drving a moped or a hummer?

  5. Probably 3 times if your car is typical.  At the start, in mid-valley (stop at Harris Ranch and have a fabulous steak dinner!) and once around Sac.

Thud.fan is mistaken, you absolutely are allowed to drive 60 mph on I-5. Many truckers are to save gas, and many of those trucks have speed limiters so they CAN'T go faster!  Nowadays a lot more people are driving slower, so you're no longer alone, lol! Just remember you are going slower than other traffic so don't just pop into the left lane carelessly!

  6. What kind of car?  How's the mileage?  How many miles is the trip exactly?  You have more info than we do.  It's basic math.
