How many times would I have to do 'A' skips if I don't have access to a track?

I'm going to do 'A' skips, high knee, and running backwards for my warmup, but I have to do them in my neighborhood. I saw that I should do these for 30 meters, but I don't know how long that is if I'm just doing them on a sidewalk in my neighborhood. I'm not on a track team (but I am taking a physical fitness test), so I don't know about the running distances.

  1. Most people when walking forward at a normal pace take a stride of about a meter, so take 10 or 11 normal walking paces and that should be roughly 30m. Its not all that far. And when doing any sort of plyometric workout the distance doesnt have to be exact, but like I said, about 10 or so normal walking strides should give you an idea. Good Luck with the test!

  2. When doing drills you should do them on the grass, not the sidewalk.

Instead of worrying about a distance do a set number of repetitions, such as, do 10 or 15 of each before doing the next one.

Your stride or step is probably a little short of 1 yard, which is short of 1 meter.

Think about 11 strides or steps is close to being 10 meters, so 33 would be about 30 meters.
