How many total sets of 7 unique numbers will be made by from 1 to 42?

We can make 3 sets of uniqe numbers by picking 3 unique numbers from 1 to 3. like ....1,2..1,3....2,3....same as how many set of 7 unique numbers will be total by picking from 1 to 42? I must say intelligent tht person who give me answer of this question..

In any group of numbers where you pull numbers out of it and they don't get replaced, the formula is:

x*(x-1)*(x-2)*......

so, in this case:

42*41*40*39*38*37*36=135,970,773,120

That's only if the order of the numbers matters. If it doesn't, then it's 42 nCr 7 which is (42!) / (7!)(42-7)! = 26978328
