  1. about four.. a ball, a squeak toy, a doll, and a tug a war toy. if u get ur dog like 6 toys he will chew them up too fast

  2. you and the ball

  3. So cute.  My dog had many many toys as a puppy but he turned out to be a very very strong chewer even though he's only 12 lbs and  gonna be 1 yr. this week. So, I can only give him toys that will withstand his chewing.  Lots of toys only last about 2 minutes with him.

You can get lots of toys but dont' give him them all at once.  Rotate the toys giving him  two or three a week then take them away and give him 2 or 3 other ones then do the opposite next week etc.

Toys are great but it's your attention, discipline and affection that he or she really needs.  In other words spend as much time as possible with your pup.  He or she needs you forever to be a reliable and secure pack leader.  That's the best present you can give him or her....yourself.

  4. i wouldn't give him to many i would give him 5 to start with one  tug of wore one and one hard bone one not to  many squeaky ones they really get on you're nerves but when it picks it favorites toys buy toys that are like the one that's its fave and some good variety as well hope i helped

  5. it really depends on you're little puppy

    how old is he/she?

  6. Hm...just LOVE these new dog owner questions.

The point of toys is for YOU to be happy that your dog is entertained and not chewing on your shoes, handbag, household and decorative articles.

I would say a few to several, IN EVERY ROOM OF THE HOUSE.  I also suggest having very clear lines between YOUR things and DOG things.  Never, ever, ever give a puppy an old shoe to chew, and similarly don't ever give mixed messages about what is ok to chew.

Toys that have flavors and smells, that  you can stuff to stick biscuits into are a huge plus.

  7. take it to a store and buy it anything it grabs at.

  8. I think as many as you want! My puppy has got alot of toys - you'll need alot of toys anyway, To keep him/her occupied.

  9. 6 toy 1 morining

    2 after dog eat

    3,4 after noon

    5 after eating

6 when sleep cumpiny (not feel loney)

  10. There should be at least 3 toys in every room the pup will enter and five out side. These toys can be soft and fluffy or rope tugs.Best for its crate is nyla bones. You need  toys to teach the pup not to use his teeth on your skin.Never allow a puppy to mouth you always have  a toy in hand to place in his mouth. You cannot have to many toys.Tilks Mom

  11. Well it depends the interest of your puppy.  But I think as many as he or she wants.

  12. If you are just getting a dog/puppy and are starting from scratch I would get around 5.

Strong, ones that they can chew on without the toy falling apart.

As the weeks and months go on you will be in stores and find new toys that you really like so there is no need to start off with a hugh amount of toys.

  13. As many as it takes to keep them from tearing up your furniture.

  14. As many as it wants. You'll learn once you have your new puppy for a while.

  15. well my mom spoils my dog to death. she has a million toys.

i laughed at her the other day...

my dog goes through stuffed toys so quick...and a few months ago we found a sock monkey at a local pet store and it lasted her at least 2 months. so when we tried to get another one, the store didn't have them. we ended up ordering one offline for like $10.  well she requested that the store call her when they got more in...and they never called. so we were in there the other day and she asked to see the manager so she could ask about it again.  i love my dog, but my mom treats her like one of her kids hah.

but just buy your dog a few toys and see how it goes with those. if she seems happy with one or two, then i don't think you really need to get her anymore.

  16. they really don't need that many toys. just one or two is fine to start. and if your puppy terrs them up then, you can get it another toy.

here are some that most dogs enjoy:

    - a tennis ball (make sure that your dog doesn't rip the ball open, if it does you need to take it away. there are certain powders in tennis balls to make them bounce that is poisonous to dogs)

    - a chew toy

    - a stuff animal

    - (not exactly a toy but..) a bone.

    - and last but not least a rope toy

good luck with your new puppy :)

and i hope i helped at least a little!

p.s do not get too many toys for your dog, it is overwhelming for a puppy and just not a good idea in general.

  17. It's not so much the number, but the kind of toys. He may like certain toys and ignore others. So, you will have to experiment. I would say not too many as puppies get overwhelmed. And remember, YOU are his favorite toy! Have fun!!
