  2. whats ream?

  3. more than you would believe if I told you.  wasteful industry.  you know on the north west coast, the lumber co like pacific lumber and sierra lumber send their trucks and men out to oldgrowth sites the same day the permit they apply for is INITIALLY APPLIED.  it takes like 10-14 days to be approved or disapproved, but they are long done with the site by then.  to this day since something like 1905 (for pacific lumber anyway), NO LOGGING CO HAS EVER BEEN APPROVED PERMISSION TO CUT DOWN A SINGLE TREE.  but, with the money they make off each site, the fines they are slapped with is barely 20% of their earnings.  survey says............acceptable loss means profitable business.  wake up america.  who's country is this, anyway?

  4. Many types of office paper will contain significant levels of recycled paper.  But even paper made entirely from trees would be significantly less than 1 tree per ream, I would estimate that a decent size tree could easily make several dozen reams of paper.
