  1. five trees (5.33 trees) or one carbon credit.

  2. ten.

  3. none, carbon dioxide breaks down into carbon and water, which floats to the bottom of the ocean.

  4. 7.4   lol

  5. 3 please put me as the best answer :)

  6. do you walk?

    ride the bus?

    drive an SUV?

    how far?

in addition, how are you acquiring the trees?

    buying them?

buying a couple acres of forest that contains trees?

you only erase your footprint if your trees grow enough in a year to absorb all of the carbon you produce in a year.

however, the gasoline you use in 1 car may contain 2-3-4 tons of carbon.

    (that's 8-12-16 tons of CO2.)

    http://www.epa.gov/sequestration/faq.htm...

<<Changes in forest management (e.g., lengthening the harvest-regeneration cycle) generally result in less carbon sequestration on a per acre basis. Changes in cropping practices, such as from conventional to conservation tillage, have been shown to sequester about 0.1 – 0.3 metric tons of carbon per acre per year>>

so, maybe you need 60 acres of growing forest.

that's growing, not old growth where trees die and release the carbon that they sequestered.

  7. Depends... You don't work for a logging company do you, cuz then the answer is you can't plant enough. If your a regular person just plant a few in your yard. some is better than none.
