  1. too many

  2. All of the trees get cut down. The trees block the wind and the sun, so we need to cut all of the trees down to get the best use. lol

  3. I dont know, but I think the benefits of doing so would outweigh a few cut down trees. We can always plant more. We dont seem to have a problem with cutting down trees for housing, but when it comes to lessening our reliance on other country's resources/ cutting down on energy consumption, we all of a sudden care about trees.

I'm a nature lover- dont get me wrong. But it seems kind of hypocritical.

  4. Another Einstein is born!

  5. use the roof tops and run wind generators up the sides of houses. They have solar power cell shingles.

  6. Not that many I suspect. We have a number of areas where the winds blow quite a bit and the land is already cleared, the southwest and plains states for example. It is more a matter of erecting a large number of windmills and laying electric lines and plugging it into the power grid. Even in the crowded eastern states windmills are going up.

  7. None if it's done properly.  The windmills used for wind farms are generally about 300 feet high, taller than most trees, so trees wouldn't get in their way at all.  Solar panels can be placed on roofs that already get plenty of sun.

  8. wind power and solar powered things are made with metal......

  9. How can I affirm your consequent premise when I don't agree with your antecedent premise?  In other words, where do you get the notion cutting down trees is a necessary condition to attaining solar and wind power?

  10. not as many as you think. think about all the electric lines and where they are located. wind or solar could go there not to mention all of the open land available outside of forests

  11. WE don't have to cut down any trees, vertical wind turbines can be installed anywhere, even on your garage.

And solar panels can be installed on the roofs of buildings suppling ample energy for all of our needs.

  12. cut down trees? thats what farmland is for genius; killing forests will be a win/lose situation.

  13. Ideally, all of them.

  14. 6,234 Trees.

Duh, they pay current farmers to surrender some of their already in use land to put the underground combines in.  They don't cut down forests.

  15. 0

  16. none, just build them in the mid-west where there are no trees and rolling fields.

  17. I think 100.000.000

  18. Umm not that much. Wind turbine's going off shore or in plains or by the shore. And the solar power. I going to be mostly in the deserts.
