Just curious...one answerer (in response to another question) said he buys 'em by the 1/2 dozen, and we've all gone thru a bunch, but how many? I'm interested here in adult road bikers who, just to put a number on it, pedal at least 50 miles/week either for fun or to work. I've probably put on 8 patches and bought 5 tubes in the last 12 months.

  1. Haven't had a puncture at all this year (100 mile commute per week + riding over the weekend) due to puncture resistant tyres.

  2. Well without a doubt we do diffrent riding! (trials) I do lots of jumping and i get around 20-30 a year.

Which beleve it or not for the sport i do is way under avrage.

The avrage for Trials is around 50-60.

    Thats if you ride everyday.

If you ride 3-4 times a week like me the avrage is about 40-45.

  3. I bike around on the trails and streets of my city about 2500 miles per year and I use about 2-3 tubes in that time. I fill my tubes with slime to keep from stopping when I get  small pin hole punctures in my tire.
