How many types are there to access a url?

I want to know how many types are there to access a url?

I know like

1) www.name.com

2) www.ipaddress.com

3) through proxy site

and any more.......

Actually, only two.  Name and IP Address.  Even a proxy site must use name or IP to get to a site.
