  1. who cares they all go BOOM

  2. TNT is a chemical name, (TriNitroToluene), of

    one specific 'high explosive' substance.

It is used in many forms. (Cast into blocks,

flaked or powdered and packed into cartridges,

and in mixtures with other substances.)

It's a member of a class of substances called organic nitrates.

Many of these are more or less explosive.

Some are far more sensitive than others.

None of them is anything to play about with.

    Why do you ask?

  3. There are tons. Get it? tons? Cause you use several tons of TNT to blow something big up. lol.

In all seriousness, TNT exists in one type, but the distribution of the powder determines the charge of the exploive.

  4. TNT is short for "trinitrotoluene"

I suppose there are any number of slightly different variations of trinitrotoluene, but there is only one real "trinitrotoluene.

    Hope this helps

  5. I'm not an expert on that but i do believe there is only 1 type of TNT.

  6. TNT is 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene.  There are no other isomers, or different compounds with the same formula.

Google "trinitrotoluene" for lots of information.

Or do you want to know the trade names of explosives that are primarily TNT?  In that case, look here:

    http://www.ordnance.org/tnt.htm

  7. Maybe you meant how many types of explosives are there?  There's C-4, C-5, C-6 (all plastics) and there's the good ole' TNT Dynamite.  For most practical applications, that's all we really use for military purposes.
