I know, it sounds stupid, but I honestly can't find the answer anywhere. By cows I mean female cattle, obviously.

So- how many udders?

  1. A cow has one udder, and normally four quarters or teats.  They can actually have more than four producing quarters but with modern milking machines that just creates problems so the other teats are normally removed and selected against when breeding.

  2. 4.

But they are smaller than Dolly Parton's...

  3. 1 udder usually with 4 quarters and 4 t***s....

  4. actually cows have 1 udders BUT!!! they r born whit five nipples

and when they grow up the farmers have to cut one.

  5. a cow has i udder and 4 teats, go on a farm and experience the wonders

  6. 6

  7. they should have 4

  8. Cow's have one udder and four teats.  Very rarely you'll come across a cow with five teats.

  9. one udder with 4 t***s

  10. Milk cows have one udder with 4 main teats for milking and usually two smaller teats that may produce a tiny amount of milk, but not enough to warrant milking them.  I guess this is a departure from the normal 4 teats from all the special breeding to get them to give more milk.  I've seen cows with their udders so large, they nearly dragged the ground when they walked, but it was just one udder.

  11. 1 utter--4 nipples

  12. A cow has one udder. That is the who;e thing hanging underneath with for teats on it. Some cows have to more small teats at the back that usually contain no milk. They are a throw back from evolution. Some answers will say four udders but actually it is only one.

  13. udder 1, teats  4.

  14. two breast and not udders

  15. 1 udder, four t***s!  ;-)

  16. a cow has one udder with four teats on the udder.and no question is stupid if you dont know ask by asking questions is how we learn

  17. the whole sack down there is considered the udder. only one..

  18. A cow has one udder, it is divided onto four independent quarters each quarter with one teat (or t*t, if you prefer).

  19. a cow generally has one calf yet has 4 teats.

a goat can a single birth, twins, triplets, quads and even quints, yet only has 2 teats!

    so much for 'intelligent design'!!
