i have a 4 foot by 18 by 18 inches fish tank how many UK gallons is that??

About 70 gallons (67.324675 to be exact).  The equation is (in inches) L X W X H / 231.  That applies to everything.  You could put some nice sized fish in that tank. ;)

You will have to adjust the figure with your fill level and substrate numbers, but 56.08 UK gallons if filled up completely.
