  1. different counties have different allowances on blood alcohol levels. but as a general rule dont drink and drive

  2. Just dont drink.

  3. this all depends on what you drink and the rate that your body absorbs alchol it's better not to drink and drive

  4. ZERO TOLERANCE to ALL drink drivers Ban them for life with NO appeal

  5. Depends on you and your weight but 0.8 would be the max, stay sober don't drink.

  6. There isnt a set amount , anything you read is general advice. The only safe way is not to drink any booze if you are driving.

  7. The only sure way of being safe is not having any alcohol at all if you're driving. Alcohol affects people in different ways so after 2 pints some people are fine whilst others are on their backs!!!

  8. .08 thats a beer without the froth,but they'll never catch me..lol

  9. Drink all you want, let somebody have your keys and drive you home, or else, DON'T DRINK AT ALL!!! Alcohol destroys liver!

  10. Number of units will vary for different people!

There are set levels of alcohol on your breath and in your blood.

Only way to be safe? DONT DRINK AND DRIVE!

  11. none, if you're smart.

  12. Sorry, this can't be given a straightforward answer. It wouldn't be doing you any favours if I gave you duff information.

For example, If you believed someone who said that 2 Units ( a pint of ordinary bitter) was ok and then drank it, it may still put you over the driving limit. This is because your situation will always be different from theirs.

The drink-driving limit is based on how much alcohol you have in your blood - NOT on how many "units" you have drunk.

No two people have the same quantity of blood, neither do they have the same rates of metabolising alcohol. This means that you may drink one unit and be over the limit but the person next to (who may look to be the same s*x and weight) may be over the limit at 1.5 units.

The time span between your last drink and your first drive, and whether you had a meal also has an affect. Your personal intake before you hit the driving limit can also vary from day to day and is affected by all sorts of things - including your frame of mind, temperature, tiredness, other food intakes ("recreational " drugs are always illegal for driving in any quantity - there is no "limit").

Remember that you will be breathalised automatically if you're in any accident - even if it was not your fault. These days everyone involved has to blow into the plastic tube.

The policeman who books you and the magistrate who Bans you are only interested in the blood alcohol level, not how many Units it took to get you there.

  13. Just a tiny sip.
