Question:

How many veterans are working in simular jobs that they had while AD?

I was a HM in the Navy and now I work at a hospital taking X rays. (I wasn't an X ray tech...I was Preventive Medicine...but I still like my current job. How many others feel that their military jobs help with current employment?

  1. I when from nuclear submarines engineering to industrial production engineering....the great thing it did for me is the flexibility to adapt to different environments and used the skill they gave me to adjust likes wise


  2. My last job on active duty was a Security Manager.  I am now doing Security Administration which adds physical, industrial, personnel, information and homeland security to my resume.

  3. Not me.I never used the military to get experience for the future. I enlisted to serve and to fight on the front lines. I would not of been happy doing a job that translated to a civilian job.

    Many jobs do not translate directly to any civilian job.

  4. Not me, i was a TOW gunner. Now I work for a publishing company.

    Of course, it's kinda hard to find a related job when your job was shooting missiles at things...

  6. I'm not a vet but my bf is... He's about to get out and go into the civilian world as a CPA. He was a financial advisor in the Marine Corps.
