How many volleyball players per team?

So i am trying out for volleyball, and i was wonder how many people will get accepted on to the team. NOT how many are on the court (which i know is 6) Our school only has JV and Varsity for men's volleyball. There are about 25-29 players trying out.

Oh yeah, and i suck, although i always think the worst at everything, so i am not sure "how" bad i am at the game.

Lastly, how do you bump, aka pass a volleyball when the vball is too low? I always try to keep a flat platform, but i most of the time it ends up going off 1 hand.

Most and almost all volleyball teams have 12 players. If you wanna do a bump but the ball is too low, you have to:

1. put one of your feet in front(on the floor)  and bend it  while keeping the back leg straight.

2. Extend your arms(like when you do a bump) and hit the ball.

Note: It's kinda similar to diving. If the ball is still too low, try moving forward a little bit.

Well on myine their is fifteen. Well passing can be done when the ball is high as well so not just necessarily when it is low. But if the ball is to low for you to get a standing bump to it dive for the ball and hit it off of one arm, or just dive for it. Don't let the experience or how good you are stop you from trying out, volleyball is a fun sport. And with alot of hard work I bet if you dont make it this year you will have a chance next year. it depends on which "class" you are in For A-12 AA-15 AAA is 18 i think

There are usually 9-12 people on the team.

There are different ways to pass a volleyball when it is too low.

1. You could just have to practice.(getting the flat platform and postitioning it right)

2. You could pancake that is if it is really low and comming hard. (you dive and law your hand out flat for the ball to hit off of.)

3. You could j-up to get the ball up in the air, you can not really control it well (the ball is comming at you and you pass it normal, but when it hits your arms you bend your wrists and bring your hands to you without moving your arms)

ya my team is 12.

and diggin you need to always move your feet and anticipate. getting low. im not quite sure what u mean when u say off one hand. but if u mean out of habit u stick one hand out because ur not in the right position its because, well ur not in the right position haha.

Depends if the players play all around or just one position. If a lot of people only play one position then there will be about 12-15 players. But some teams only put 8 players on.
