  1. I think you may be confusing two things..

Mains powered drills are measured in watts to give their power.

A 650 watt drill will be quite a good DIY drill, quite powerful enough for normal [not trade ] use.

A 24 volt drill will be a battery drill.

With battery drills , the power seems to be given in the voltage the batteries have. They don't seem to be rated by watts [which is what they should be]

There fore if you are buying a battery drill, they come in 12, 18, 24, 36 ,48 volts.

A very good DIY battery drill will be an 18 volt drill.

A 24 volt drill will be even better.

Battery drills are nowhere near as powerful as mains drills, but they are very useful and most can be used as screwdrivers  which a mains drill will not do.

  2. Drills are rated in volts. You can't really tell acurately how many watts the drill will put output because it depends on what type of work your doing with it.  Power of the drill will be determined by the voltage and current the drill is drawing from the battery.  The current the drill draws from the battery depends on how much work(joules) is being done by the drill.  You can really only determine the max power output of the drill by multiplying the voltage and the max current draw of the drill. The maximum current is usually labeled on the drill or battery itself.

  3. You can't tell without more information. What does the nameplate on the drill say? or the operating manual?
