We now enter foreign countries lose thousands of A. lives and try to set up democracies like in VN and Iraq.

While the CIA is not a military organization, it has been involved in the Vietnam War and Southeast Asia, the Nicaraguan Civil War between the Contras and the Sandinistas, the Arab-Israeli Wars, and pretty much every other conflict in which the United States take an interest.

The war on "Terror"  which is going on now, well technically they started it and are not out there in the war zone and the guy/girl above is also right.

That is the function of the military.  During wartime the CIA supports the military.
