How many wastewater treatment facilities are there in Canada?

In the US, there are about 16-18,000 wastewater treatment plants. In Canada, if you just go by population ratio, there should be about 1600-1800 (10% of US population). Anybody have real data?

I live in an area of northern Ontario and we have 8 within 200 sq miles.Pretty much every community has a waste water system of one kind or another and each province has different guide lines as to what is needed for water treatment good luck finding an answer.I would say in the thousands.
