How many waterpump must be used in 50 gallon tanks?

it's ok to used two (2) water pump in one tank, the purposes is to rotate every 12hours. or running without stopping.

Yes you can use two or more filters in a tank, it's commonly done in large setups.

Run the filters 24 hours, they need continous water flow to maintain effective biological filtering.

Yes it is. I have had 2 pumps in my 29 gallon. One was for a 40 gallon tank and the other was for a 30 gallon tank.

Purpose being I had snails and goldfish. Until they were big enough to move into the pond.

It is good to have that if you have bigger fish.

The only thing I don't understand is why not have it run all the time with just the one??
