  1. To the best of my knowledge Bose has never published a wattage rating on any of their powered speakers or HTiB systems. They feel that (quite correctly) that wattage ratings give a false sense of quality.  More power doesn't mean better sounding, louder, clearer, sharper or anything without other ratings to go with it. Besides, different companies measure wattage differently so what they might publish couldn't be used to compare it with another system anyway.

    This is a VERY Big subject so I won't try to explain it all but essentially it is speaker sensitivity and wattage capacity that indicates how loud a speaker can play. You will notice that they don't mention that rating either.

    The only reason you would need to know wattage is if you were trying to replace the amplifier. It isn't designed for that so they don't include the rating.


  2. Bose will never tell you that becuase their products are junk.
