  1. You can not determine watts from just volts.  The microwave should list the watts somewhere.  Otherwise, you can calculate the watts from volts and ohms or volts and amps.  110 volts just means that it uses the regular household outlets, whereas many washers, dryers, and electric ovens use 220 volts.

  2. Let's say you are connecting to a maximum 10 Amp circuit.  Then you will want a microwave that uses less than 1100 watts.  If it is a 15 amp circuit max, then you can use a microwave that is under 1650 watts.

So you need to find out how much current the circuit you will be connecting to can handle otherwise you will be popping the circuit breaker all the time.

  3. 110 volts should not be of concern to you. Watts is the amount of energy being used. 600, 800, 1600.

    The choice is simple really.

    Small Medium or high capacity.

    Good luck

  4. Ok well say you have 110-120 VAC and it is fused at 15 Amps you can in Total get  a little over 1500 Watts from the circuit the plug is wired to[1650-1800 Watts]

  5. It looks more like you're asking a configuration question rather than a load question - 110 volts is a standard wall outlet. A 220 volt appliance will take a different configuration plug. Check here (http://www.frentzandsons.com/Hardware%20... for pictures.

Almost all 'plug-in' microwaves are 110 volt.

  6. Microwaves come in many wattages that use 110 volts.  What you really need to know is how many amps of current the electrical circuit you are plugging into can handle and match the appliance accordingly.

  7. well, power, in watts, is equal to voltage x current, so you also need to know the current, in amps to find the power

  8. watts and volts are 2 very different things, so if you want to buy a microwave just ask for a 110 volts ! now for the watts it depends on you, if you need a big and fast heating one ask for a 1200W or more, or just a 600W it is going to be used to unfreeze or warm up small things.

The higher the power the more expensive it will get.
