How many watts light for my 16 gallon fish tank ?

Which type of bulb should I use and tell me the price in Indian Rupees

If it's a fish only tank it doesn't really matter what colour or wattage it is, as long as you're happy with it.

Light distracts the fishes in the tank. But people still use it, as fish looks good in shining light, at night specially.  Use this light minimum possible as when guest r there in the house or children want to see the fishes otherwise avoid it. One can use small tube lights in the auqarium which costs around Rs 150/- or can use white bulb/40 watts/Rs 15/-. Switch the light off as early as possible as it heats the water too. Water temerature should stay around 28 degee celcius.

So. use light when utmost necessary & your fishes will live longer.
