  2. Mainly there are only 10 ways a batsman could get out, as already mentioned. The 11th way, Retired out, will happen only if the batsman decides it to be so. If a player retires for a reason other than injury / health related issues, and he does not resume his innings at a later stage he is considered 'retired out'. And in such circumstances a batsman can only recommence his innings with the consent of the rival captain.

    If it is a health related problem which stops a batsman from resuming his innings it is 'retired hurt' & not out.

    Saifuddin, that is what is referred to as 'timed out'. If a batsman does not turn up in 3 minutes and the bowling team appeals, he is given out 'timed out'.

    If the new batsman should come to the crease with in 3 minutes after the out of previous batsman. Otherwise the new batsman should OUT.
