lets just out it in a really simple way, you give 7 away whenever u touch the black when u are not meant to touch it.

AND u miss the black when u are meant to touch it.

in of the black while trying to pot it.............potting the back by mistake.........missing the black while trying to hit it...........hitting the black by mistake..............brushing against the black with a piece of your clothing or part of cue or part of your body...........getting called for a miss while trying to hit the black in a snooker and missing.....only one way to be snookered on the black if the cue ball and black are sitting in the corners of the pocket and you havent got a direct line to hit the black....hope thats enough ways for you i cant think of any more

You can only give 7 away if you foul the black.

Either your going for a ball (not black) and you hit the black

or

you are going for the black and either miss it or pot the white, or pot both the white and the black.

or

I suppose you could foul the black cueing over it or your waistcoat etc.
