How many weeks do i have to wait until i can take out my navel ring for 3 hours with out it closeing up?

im a dancer and i have to wear tight clothes for class but with my navel ring i cant so ..............

  1. Naval piercings generally heal in about 4 to twelve months. I would not recommend taking it out until it is fully healed. Even then, taking it out for long periods of time is risking; it may still close up. Close up time depends on the individual, but it is common for newer piercings to close pretty fast.

If it's the fact that jewelry may show through your clothes, and the retainer doesn't work for you, you could try getting your hands on a piece of PFTE. Ask around at different piercing studios. PFTE is completely safe, flexible, and less likely to show through clothing.
