I put the rsvp date 2 and a half weeks before the wedding as I need to confirm numbers and take care of last minute details. How many weeks in advance do people normally send the invitations out?

Thanks in advance

  1. I would give a month or more and make the rsvp 1 month or more so you have an official count for the cater, etc. And allow your guess time to make travel arrangement etc. So try to send them out asap. I have been there and the more time the better.  That gives you time to see who is coming or not. You don't want to pay more then you have too. It is going to be stressful enough this way you get that part out of the way and the seating arrangements. Good Luck congrats

  2. 2 weeks

  3. month or 2. Depending on if people have to fly in or not.

  4. Usually between 6 & 3 months before the wedding!

  5. Yes your timing is good. As you thing from your side economically, you should give time for the inviter also decide. If that person is working has to inform office and get leave also family commitments. So the more you give time less pressure for others. But generally there's no exact time period. This is my point of view and with my experience.

  6. 2 or 3 months

  7. I just got married and I sent mine out 6 weeks before the wedding.. and gave them 4 weeks to respond.. that way i knew 2 weeks before the wedding my final head count!!

Congrats and good luck!! cherish it.. it goes by sooo fast!! :-)

  8. Normally, you send the invitations out eight weeks in advance. But you have some room to cut this down if all of your guests are from your town and won't need to travel. Absolute minimum is about a month, though.

  9. I had a December 1st Wedding, I sent my invites out mid August ( i had a 150 guest list) My RSVP Date was 1 Oct, then i confirmed and organised things like menu, seating plan, numbers, how much to spend on bar tab etc etc, ring all the people who didn't bother to RSVP all these other little things that creep in.  Before I knew it, it was one week to the big day and I was still confirming my seating plan and numbers for my catering, people's minds changed like the wind.

Because I prepared and had more time on my side, it turned out perfect.

  10. 6/8 weeks prior to the return date

  11. 1 month CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!
