  1. White Hat Specials was the name of the sales program to move slow selling models off the lot before the new models arrived. I don't think there were any '67 Chargers equipped in a particular manner known as "White Hat Specials", although they were models built during the late '60's and early '70's that carried a particular theme like the "Bengal Charger" . . . . a '68 Charger painted orange with a black vinyl top (I think those were the colors) that was sold in the Cinncinatti, Ohio area to honor the Cinnicinatti Bengals football team. There was a '70 or '71 Challenger built for the midwest area of the country, Texas I believe, but could be wrong about the location, that had a white vinyl top, that one might have been called a "White Hat Special". The Bengal Chargers and the '70-'71 Challengers could be had with any option available on that particular model with the exception of paint color/vinyl roof. "allpar.com" might have some info on "White Hat Specials".

  2. Are you talking about a car sold as a "body in white" just the body ,a rolling chassis. I understand Chrysler sold the car that way for racers to build up for racing, drags, circle track, etc.
