If not, then Umar Gul or Ishant Sharma shall help Akhtar out.

However, Shoaib "Rawalpindi Express" Akhtar must be at his thundering best today VS Kings XI Punjab.

I do not think they will play him. There is some underline current going on that we cannot understand; we can only make guesses.

Excuse for him not playing the last match was that his knee was injured. He has had some knee operations. Besides, with a wet ground he could not have run with such a knee.

Think there is more to it. All these have been factors in KKR's problems.
