and, how many did you get removed? (if any)

I'm finding that people don't always get ALL their wisdom teeth removed, which is weird to me... why wouldn't they just remove them all?

I only had 1, and I got it removed the other day. OUCH.

It was lower left.

  1. My teeth don't fall out easily so i had to get 5 pulled out. They were kind of loose so it wasn't very bad. : )

  2. well i had four but they took only my bottom two out so now i only have two. yeah it hurt but they give you prescription pain medication (woo hoo!). they didnt take out the top two bc they werent bothering any of my other teeth and it would have been really complicated to take them out bc they werent grown in very much at all.

  3. I had all 4 yanked at once.

  4. None....never had any grow in.

  5. i have 2 lower wisdom molars. the upper ones are missing,

i do not have to extract the lower wisdom teeth because it is erupting in the upright manner and does not affect me at all. just that some food gets stuck there more often and for that i have to pay special attention when cleaning that area.

  6. I had all four wisdom teeth and all four were pulled at different times.

  7. i do have all  and they dont hurt at all

  8. When I was 21, they removed 3 of my 4 wisdom teeth. Why only 3? I have no idea. I was in so much pain, I kinda forgot to ask!

  9. I had 4, all removed.  They remove those that are impacted (growing crooked, sideways, or partially under another tooth).  If they aren't all impacted there's no need to remove them.

  10. I had all 4 removed when I was 19.  They were not bothering me at the time.  I had them removed because my dentist took an X-ray and told me that my roots were really long.  So long, that if I didn't get the wisdom teeth removed they would have grown into a major nerve and my face muscles would be paralyzed.

  11. Why would you have you have your wisdom teeth removed?

I don't go cutting bits off me or removing them willy nilly with no good reason.

I had three wisdom teeth, only one of which has broken the gum.  It is possible that they may need to be removed one day, but until that day they stay where they are.

I also still have my appendix which I "don't need".  And I still have my big toe nail which one doctor recommended removing permanently.

  12. I never did grow any wisdom teeth on the lower jaw, don't know why and it took me years for the uppers, however I did get them pulled the one grew in crooked and was interferring with my cheek, I don't remember it being any more painful than any other visit to the dentist

  13. I had four, which were all deeply imacted

And they were pulled out all in 5 minutes
