How many wish Steven King would update The Stand?

What I mean is sort of upgrade it. Alter its beginning to reflect today's lifestyle? You know; cell phones, computers, whatnot. I imagine Larry Underwood could be a hip-hop star, while Stu Redman might be something like a retired NFL player. I'm not sure. What do you think?

No, I think it is fine the way it is. You wouldn't want Gone With the Wind updated, or Treasure Island, or any other Classic Book would you? Classics should remain untouched. Besides Stephen King recently wrote an apocolyptic book for the modern age called CELL, check it out!
