Cindy is his second wife.  I don't like McCain or his political views, but I don't think information about personal life is nearly as important as his plans for our nation.  I think he is way too sarcastic and impulsive in his comments... not a great representative leader for the USA.

John McCain has been married twice. He has been married to the former Cindy Lou Hensley since 1980. In 1965 McCain had married the former Carol Shepp and adopted her two children. John and Carol divorced in 1980. Sorry I don't know why they got divorced

I heard he was a Mormon and he has kept the two of them and he is eyeing Ms. Palin for #3.   She seems to be responding to his advances and has been promised a view of his gun.  She finds that thought quite appealing,   so they say.
