  1. I feel that my intelligence has been insulted with McCain's blatantly pathetic attempt to secure the female vote.  I'm also amazed that Republicans aren't speaking publicly about the insult rather than only behind closed doors.  I have plenty of Republican friends who are terribly upset with the thought that Sarah Palin is only one step away from the presidency.  How many supporters do you really think she would have secured if she had run in the primaries for President?  Should McCain succumb to health issues, Palin would be Commander In Chief.  Now, how scary is that?

  2. I am not at all insulted... he is an older gentleman.. he does things differently but I admire  his choice for vice president.  it will get him my vote.

I oppose the man who was too afraid of a strong women to even consider her for his partner.. Obama is not only a sexist.. he has too many racist ties.

  3. McCain is under no illusion that he'll gain every female vote just because he picked a woman. Mostly he'll gain a few who think it was pathetic that the D party allowed Obama to steal the nomination away from Hillary who had earned it.

  4. McCain is old school.

He still wants women to be bare foot and cooking in the kitchen.

  5. Being insulted is a choice someone makes all on their own.

McCain took her because she brings a lot of demographics to the table, including a lot of conservative feminists.

  6. You are sick for a black dude to be President now matter how inexperienced he is.

The Presidency is not for affirmative action, it is for keeping us safe and running the country.

  7. So he was supposed to pick a guy? Why? She's perfectly qualified. I don't think I'm quite that special that he picked Palin just for me.

  8. more with your thinly disguised, liberal attemp to act indignant.

  9. Yes it is pathetic and for those who say Obama flushed away the Womans vote simply because he beat out Hilliary for the nomination just goes to show how shallow some people are.

As if I,as a Woman will cast my vote solely on the fact that someone is also female is ridiculous. For one thing... haven't Men noticed that Women don't really like each other all that much, we are more competitive and spiteful than anything. We certainly don't just fall in line behind our gender.

I am voting for Obama because I want to restore this country to it's greatness and I have high hopes that he is the Man to do that, and I don't care that he beat out Hilary in fact I thankful for it.

    Vote Smart

    Obama 08

  10. Ohh me, me.

I love the 'ugly feminist' line.  Something tells me that puppy ain't getting none.

  11. I think the vast majority are smart enough to see through this cheap pathetic stunt. It's backfiring badly.

  12. Funny, I thought women would be happy that the rich old white man would actually pick a woman, and a woman who has been successful in politics, the institution run by old rich white men.  Isn't that what feminists have been griping about for decades?  I guess that only applies if the woman is a Democrat.

  13. I'm not insulted!  Because of Palin I signed up to volunteer for McCain at http://www.johnmccain.com/

Finally a strong conservative woman I can believe in!

  14. I think mainly white women will probably support McCain because he picked a white woman as a VP. Mostly other races of woman are not easily fooled.

  15. acually

mccain talked about picking her way before hillary dropped out

    and

    palin rules

  16. I'm not insulted. I am curious though. Everyone I know has already decided who they are voting for. Are you saying you haven't? Wonder what it would have taken to win your vote.

FYI I was already voting for McCain and I like Palin so far too. So I'm good with it.

  17. I'm not insulted by that, but by McCain's poor choice of a 2d in line for being Commander in Chief.

  18. I' m excited that we have the possibility in having a female president in the near future!  I look forward to when that first woman gets sworn into office. I don't care what party she belongs to.

  19. But Palin doesn't have the credibility it takes on women's issues. Where does she stand on eduacation? Just for creationism. On health care? She doesn't seem to fit my definition of a good mother. (not because of her daughter, but because she doesn't put them first)

It wasn't women he was courting; it was conservatives.

  20. I'm disgusted at YOU insulting women.  Palin is perfectly capable of the job set out before her, whether she is a woman or not.  That statement shows insight to how you view women.

  21. I'm not insulted! I think it is hilarious!!!! It makes him look desperate and ignorant! Pallin is the opposite of Hillary on any issue! Who's vote is he trying to get here? How sad for his party!

  22. / Obama took a giant smelly dump on all women when he dissed Hillary.

If you still like him, then you'll never get out from under his empty spell.

  23. I am.  I would love to see a women as president or VP.  I want one who is qualified.  It is insulting that he just picked any female not considering her qualifications.  Some very qualified women where passed over.

This reminds me of the time I was moving and we were moving my fish tank.  I told my son-in-law to be careful because I didn't want him to kill my fish.  He said they all look alike you can just buy new ones.  This is the same concept and shows a lack of respect for what a real qualified women could add to the ticket as far and knowledge and good sound advice.  The Palin selection will set the women's movement back. Her selection does for women what the Clarance Thomas selection to the Supreme Court did for Blacks.

  24. thats a dumb question im not going to answer

to the poster who said something about the stepford wives. that was a dumb thing to say. you obviuosly dont know much about this lady. you should do some research about her, and youll find out she is just the opposite of that, but she still has morals.

  25. Actually, REAL women love Palin. She is much more of the modern woman than Hillary could ever hope to be. So, I have news for you, I was definitely luke warm on the McCain ticket... even thinking about sitting out the election since I could never vote for Obama. I will definitely be at the polls and voting for McCain/Palin in November. Palin brings a down-to-earth reality to this ticket that has not been seen in politics for years. And I am NOT the only woman to feel this way. In our circle of friends, who are Dems and Repubs, the women (and men) are all very impressed with Palin.

  26. see yal just pissin me off tonite im talkin bout macrain nowin what he doin

thats al i got to say

exept that macrain no he got a good pernate vp becuae family values

  27. McCain kept Palin as an ace up his sleeve to either counter Hillary if she won the dem nominee or, like now, to "win" over Hillary supporters. He assumes that us girls just want a woman in the White House. He's wrong. I want a qualified person in 2nd command to take over when he croaks, and from my research, it is not Palin.

  28. I love her.  No one's forcing you.  Vote for the good old boy party the Dems.  You should be insulted that Obama didn't even consider Hillary as VP.

  29. I'm more insulted by the treatment of Hillary Clinton by the democratic party.People jumped ship like rats for the Obama Train.McCain chose Palin for her  Conservative stand on the issues as well as her expertise on oil and the enviroment. Her taking on her own party in ethics and if she happens to get the female vote that's an added plus.Die hard Democrats male or female won't vote for McCain anyway.Everything about this woman can be checked out.We know her track record.

  30. Well, Obama pissed on the women's vote and flushed it away, so why cant McCain court them?

  31. Still bitter at the DNC who tossed the most viable candidate under the bus and left that door wide open for republicans huh?? place your anger where it belongs..with your own d**n party!
