How many women closing in on 40 would consider having another baby (after having 2 teenagers)?

I am 40, with two teenagers, and even if I were physically able to have more, I would not.

My mom had my sister when I was 14, but she was a surprise baby, not one they had planned on. (We're the only two, by the way.) It has worked out well for the family, and my sister and I are very close. My mom did have a lot of problems with the pregnancy, though, and had to be on bedrest for a lot of it. I wouldn't recommend someone that age having kids for that reason. That's just my two cents.

I wouldn't think a lot of women(or men,for that matter)would be up for it. But it's not altogether a bad idea,when you consider how much someone might learn and grow in _teen years.A person who has expanded their' horizons and seen more of the world might do a ten-times better job of it later in life.Nontheless,there are physical dangers to consider,and having a child at 40 ties you up until you're almost a senior.There's pros and cons either way,I suppose,I guess an individual would have to weigh them out for herself.

I had my first child at 18 and my last two at two months before my 38th birthday and one week before my 39th birthday. They are the joys of my and their father's life. The age you are doesn't matter if you have enough inside to give them.

Right now my twins (boy,girl) are 15.  I'd get a puppy.

I am not yet near 40 (25) however, after having 3 children in 2004, 2006, & 2008 I KNEW I didnt want to do that all over again later on, and got my tubes tied.

I actually think I wouldn't have been able to have another baby by the time I was that age. After I had my second daughter at the age of 35, I never was pregnant again and I had no problems avoiding pregnancy.
