How many working hours are lost through traffic accidents in the UK each year?

It is not just the time at the site of the crash but the knock-on time at hospitals, out-patient visits, sorting out insurance details, police interviews, sorting out temporary or new vehicle, court appearance where necessary and, of course, telling colleagues all about it.

  1. That is just about impossible to figure out due to many factors that you have pointed out but I did find that the “average” time spent at a traffic accident is 1-½ hours if that helps.

    But if I were to guess at the amount of wasted working hours, it would have to be in the millions especially the after accident replaying to all of the co-workers, that will go on for years…..
