How many yachts are actually based in florida?

my boyfriend wants to work on a yacht but is worried that he might be based somewhere different than florida... if he finds ar job in florida, what are the odds that the boat will spend most of its time in florida?

Your question is impossible to answer, but people who own yachts tend to want to travel a little with them.  In the winter serious yacht owners based in Florida usually go to the Bahamas or Bermuda or the Caribbean or South America, and they often go north of Florida to the Carolinas or even to the Hudson River, the Chesapeake or the Great Lakes and Georgian Bay in the summer.  The more adventurous ones may even consider Atlantic crossings or going through the Panama Canal.
