  1. you have spelled "kindergarden" incorrectly......It is spelled "kindergarten"...........you might start by learning to spell it correctly...

  2. Well assuming you majored in elementary education, it can be instantaneous or it can take years.I majored in elementary education, graduated last May, and still haven't found a teaching job. My best friend did the same, went on an interview in July and was offered to start in September. It all depends on your qualifications, how well you do in an interview, what your resume looks like, how you compose your cover letter, background experience dealing with children, etc.

Just submit as many resumes and cover letters to different districts as you can, try as hard as you can to HAND DELIVER your information, not mail or apply online, get to know the districts you're interested in, and practice, practice, practice for interviews. You should get a job in no time (and then, try to help ME get one! Haha!). Good luck!

  3. I'm not sure what you are asking so I'll answer based on a few possibilities:

If you do not have a degree in early childhood: You need to go back and get a teaching certificate, and that takes about 1.5 to 2 years. It is called ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION and you can contact the Regional education center in your area to find out how to get it.

If you do have a degree in early childhood: I got a job 2 months after I graduated in May, but that is in the state I live in. Since you didn't say what state you are from, it is really hard to answer this question. I got a kindergarten position 2 months after graduation in Houston, TX because the city is so big and the demand is high. I have taught kinder the past 2 years in San Antonio, TX and got that job 3 months after I finished my job in Houston (which was just over the summer so it wasn't a big deal.

Can you please be more specific in your question?

What state/city do you live in?

Are you working towards a degree or do you have one?

    What is your degree in?

Are you talking about degree requirements or how long does it take to get a job after graduation?

  4. I am a kindergarten teacher. I went to college for four years at one school. Then I went to graduate school somewhere else and got a Masters in Education along with my Bilingual Teaching Credential (BCLAD) for two years. So it took me two years. In most states teaching kindergarten does not require some different special kind of teaching credential. In most states it requires the exact same credential as teaching grades 1-6 would. So if your looking for a short cut just because its kinder, sorry, those days are over. Kindergarten has just as many demands now as any other grade.
