Um, until you scratch the h**l out of em'...

But honestly, it won't matter in a few years anyway, because like the death of the 8 track, cassettes and VCR's, there will be another technological advancement that wipes out the cd's and dvd's...

Until there are no CD or DVD players.  Some people still have 8track players but their worthless.  Of course they can get scratched and warped so that depends on how you take care of it too.  I think MP3's are ending the CD era, but that's my opinion.

ofcourse it stays for a long time but when u use it again and again and if it gets scratched then it would last only for months

Beginning quality and storage conditions all contribute to the expected life.

I've heard 50-100 years before.  It's a long time, believe me.
