How many years does the canadian embassy process visa applicants?

Depends on what country you're in, what kind of visa you're applying for. Need more specifics. I'm sponsoring my spouse, who's Indian, and our lawyer says the application will take anywhere between 8-12 months. I don't think any visa application would take years. That's only if you're trying to get into the US. haha. (Trust me I know this because my greencard in the US took 6 years)
