  1. I never have, as I don't know enough about sport stats and what have you, but if I were, it would be football!

  2. I have played them for about 4 years now; baseball and football are my favorites.

  3. 20 years, in all sports.

My favorite is football, followed closely by hockey and baseball.

I developed a system of Value Based Drafting that helps you make a championship run from 'day one.'  Value is the one thing I preach here in YA.  Managers constantly reach for players that will slide to them with patience.

Fantasy players are in my humble opinion some of the best informed, most knowledgable students of the game.

There's nothing nerdy about fantasy sports.

  4. I've been playing fantasy sports since my freshmen yr in high school, now im a senior (class 09, h**l yeah).  i wanted to try it, to see exactly what it was, and me and my friend shared a team, and out computers' teacher would give us advice, it was awsome.  the best fantasy sport is football by far on NFL.com.

  5. iv been playing for 3 years and football is best closely followd by baseball.  3rd is march maddness and you can forget everything else

  6. ive never played fantasy sports so i dont really have a favorite....i dont even know how to play them :(

  7. I've been playing for 4 1/2 years. My favorite sport is baseball.

  8. i've been playing about 10 years, maybe more. My favorite would be football head to head, it's alot of fun and is easy to manage as the games are weekly.

I'm also in a dynasty baseball league which is also a lot of fun.

  9. about eight and have done the big 3 and gotta say baseball head to head is best, more strategy is involved than in the other 2, basketball for me would come in second, football close 3rd, all are fun though, I play all 3 every year, multiple leagues at a time, makes keeping up with sports more fun....

  10. I've been playing since 2000 when I was a senior in high school and decided that I would do away with "salary cap" games and create a "real" fantasy sports team.  My first fantasy sport that I played was a head-2-head fantasy basketball league at Sandbox (the NFL season had already started and didn't like the idea of playing in a league with a month of the season already in the books).  My first pick was Michael Finley and I even drafted John Starks in the late rounds (when he signed with Utah).  Yep, I thought I knew it all, but the rude awakening I received when my horrible team started the season at 0-9 and was in dead last.  I was so embarrassed, but refused to give up.  After learning that the waiver wire could be your best friend when you drafted a horrible team, I ran the table for the rest of the year and finished in 4th place and best of all, was able to finish above .500!

In spring of 2001, I randomly joined a fantasy baseball league at Sportsline.  After getting into heated verbal arguments with a fellow owner for a good portion of the year, I asked him if he wanted to create a keeper league for the 2002 campaign.  Funny how that works out.  Already in its 6th season, that league is the only fantasy baseball team that I have and it is very competitive as many of the owners pick up on players that are mentioned by fantasy "experts" a week or two later.

For many years, my two favorite sports to play were fantasy NBA and NHL, head-2-head.  It seemed that I was always winning those leagues, and if I wasn't winning, I was almost always in the top-half of the standings.  I guess they were my favorite because #1, I was good at them, and #2 no one else seemed to play in them or knew of their existence.  I compare it to liking a band that "no one else" knows about and it's like your little secret.  Alas, I now only play in one fantasy basketball league (it's a keeper) and haven't played NHL fantasy since the lockout.  I don't have any problems with the NHL, it's just that I feel so out of touch because I just haven't been paying attention to the league as I used to.  Might try it for next season, but the thought of me buying a fantasy NHL preview magazine is almost ludicrous and hilarious at the same time.

So to rank these fantasy sports now, I'll have to say that they are as follows:

    #1. Baseball

    #2. Basketball and that's a close second.

It's worth repeating that I only like playing in head-2-head games.  I played in roto-style and I must say I'm not a big fan.

I never was a big fan of fantasy football either, as I thought that there were never enough games to play in (that's what happens when you're used to keeping track of 324 games in the schedule.  That's the combined games played of MLB, NBA, and NHL) and was void of any true strategy.  This year, will be the first year that I will not play fantasy football.  I don't think I'll miss it as much as I miss hockey.

  11. 1 and baseball.  I got this great little partner in crime that helps me though :)  He's the bestest :)

It's great having an expert like Owner giving me so much help and advice :)

  12. five years and baseball

  13. 2 years. i think football is the funnest but baseball is a close second

  14. I've tried Basketball, baseball and Footbal. The only one I have stuck with (for nearly 10 years now) is Football. Only having to worry about one set of games per week makes a big difference. That and the fact I play in a league with several people I know, many of whom have been with this league as long as I have, if not longer.

  15. This is my first year and I've played fantasy baseball.

  16. About 2 years and I must say football. It has a lot to do with me being a huge football fan and not having to check my teams every other second...which gets tiring and hard

Baseball is the hardest. It involves a lot of strategy

  17. when i turn 48 (5 years ago) i got badly hurt and could not work first time since I was 17, my son told me about fantasy foot i not very good at it but it help me a lot
