  1. Yes, a bachelor's degree is enough to teach English.  You want to make sure that you are in a teacher certification program.  Some states include that as part of the BA program, for some states it is an extra year of schooling, but you can work at the same time.

Again, it will depend on the state and how desperate they are for teachers.  Some states will hirer you with a BA and then give you so many years to get a masters.

  2. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on education..

It took me 5 yrs, but I changed my major. It can be done in 4.

I have been teaching English for 14 years ( high school and now middle) . I only have a bachelor's.

You can apply for temp. certification in your state/county that lasts for 2 years while you obtain any necessary courses for your full-time certificate.

Anyone with a  bachelor's can apply to teach. You are just an "out of field" teacher until you take all the courses.

    Good luck, .

PS: I thought I would hate middle school, but it is my absolute favorite.

  3. All of the previous and possible a Masters in some states. Check the state in which you want to teach.
