How many years of school does it take to become a Plastic Surgeon?

I want to become a Plastic Surgeon and my parents want me to look into schools. I need to know how many years of school it takes to be a Plastic Surgeon. Can anybody suggest any good medical schools or universities with good medical programs in North America?

4 years of college, 4 years medical school, 3-4 years residency, and an optional fellowship of about 3 years - all up 11-15 years.

Be aware however the best schools that give you the best chance of getting into medical school are also the hardest to get into - you need really great grades.  It could be argued the reason their students have a better chance of getting into medical school is because they were on average better to begin with.
