4 years of Pre-med, then 4 years of medical school and then however many years of residency is required for whatever field you want to specialize in.

I believe to be accepted to Med school you have to first obtain a Bachelor's degree in any field with a great G.P.A and MCAT scores. From there I think it takes about 4 years to complete with 2 years residency so altogether 6 for med school alone. Specializing may take additional time.
