  1. depends on the person and how hard u try. i started when i was 5 and i could do aerials when i was 8 and amazing ones when i was 10

  2. Well it would depend on your athleticism and how fast you develop the skills some learn faster then others. My advice is keep practicing and raise your level on larger waves. You may want to catch some cool DVDs on aerial surfing.

    Hang loose :)

  3. depends on the person honestly

  4. theres really no 'amount' you just got to try everyday and just surf if you dont get it, one day you will =]

  5. 4.7 years. not really. To do stuff like that, you need to wake up every morning and go surfing, and every evening.  Thats the work of dedication and intense passion, not mileage.

  6. I don't think it relates to how many years, it is more how many years you surf consistently, how fast you are able to advance on high performance boards, and the type of wave you normally ride.  You need to time your approach on the wave face and then coordinate your speed and position for best performance.  If you are surfing daily in steeper waves and try to hit the lip a lot, my guess would be about 5 years to get smaller airs and maybe 7 years for quality airs.
