  1. It should be mandated that no USA kid passes sixth grade without proficiency in Spanish.  That Spanish is not our official second language is a real shame on America.

  2. You'll be speaking Chinesse!

    China is owning your economy!

  3. not for a really really long time if not never...  English is the business language andthat'ss not going to change today tomorrow or the week after.

however we will see a morphing situation where US english will become more distant to other english speaking countries, we already use more spanish words than Canadians, Australians and British and that trend will continue.

IT is also true that Mexican Spanish uses more english words that other Spanish speaking countries

  4. Given that English is the official language in half the states, you'll have a long fight ahead of you.

  5. lol

  6. Hopefully soon. Not exclusively Spanish, but *also* Spanish. It can only bring benefits.

  7. It will never happen.

  8. I don't think that will happen until all the n**i goons cease to exist

  9. Before 2050 all of the gringoes will learn how to say:

    "Life's a trip, que no?"

  10. Probably within 50 years. By then whites are going to be a minority in America just like whites are a minority on the planet.

  11. dunno . . . but i think i'm going to sneak into (invade) another country so that i can work tax-free while dragging on the country's resources.  seems to work for others.  so well, in fact, that jobs are getting hard to come by around here.

just to be clear, its not a culture thing, its a (criminal) law thing.

  12. Everyone! That is impossible. A big majority: in a few years (15 or 20). Put chinese also in that list. Times they are a-changing...

  13. It depends on the circumstances.

At least 1 year or so.

  14. uh not everyone will be speaking spanish ever..

it kind of involves learning and most people are like..

    oo.. learning.. no thanks.

  15. no creo que va a pasar pero estoy dispuesto si acaso

i don't think its going to happen but i'm ready just in case

  16. I have often thought this myself.

I live in Michigan and believe it or not, some areas are becoming heavily populated with the Hispanic community.

I am actually taking a spanish class though my city for some basics.

I doubt our country will be fully speaking spanish anytime soon, but I would guess further in the future, maybe in 50 - 100 years, the majority will speak it.  After all, the traditional english-speaking American is slowly becoming a minority in our own country.

A nice ban on illegal immigaration that is vigorously enforced would help to preserve our language and culture as well as a throughly monitored legal immigration act.  If our grand and great grand parents were expected to learn english, then why isn't that how it is these days?

  17. I hope that doesn't happen.

  18. Relax! it's just Paranoia! it won't happen. It would be nice though, then maybe I'll stop getting dirty looks when I speak Spanish. They'll roll their eyes "Like! OMG, there they go again".

  19. Now you're just being paranoid.

  20. I think there is a better chance that the US will be speaking Mandarin! It is a much more popular language! Can everybody say "Ni hao"?

  21. en cinco años vamos hablar por lo menos ingles y español

by the way many English words come from spanish
