  1. Only about 15 years if it is a very light spacecraft. But for most larger manned spacecraft, you will have to plan for a 35-45 year mission, as you will have to rely on a minimum energy transfer.

A gravity assist at Jupiter will not be recommended, when you have a human crew - close to Jupiter is painful strong radiation.

  2. Two years max

  3. 12 years

  4. An AU (Astronomical Unit) is equal to ~150 million kilometres (The distance between the Earth and the sun). Pluto is 39.5 AU from the sun. The distance between the Earth and Pluto, therefore, is 38.5 AU or ~5,775,000,000 km. At 200,000km/h (Assuming a straight line), it would take around 28,875 hours or 1,203 days. Because of orbits around the sun, though, the distance between planets is always changing. For example, if one planet was on one side of the sun and the other planet was on the other, the distance between them would be larger than if they were both on the same side. Hope this helped!

  5. Well, a plain Hohmann transfer will do it in about a hundred years. NASA used momentum transfer boosts (slingshot effect) from the gravity of gas giant planets to send the Voyager probes into sun-relative hyperbolic orbits, which made the trip to Pluto possible in 30 or 35 years.

  6. 28.84 years if we travel at 17000 miles per hour

  7. Our probes took over ten  years to reach Neptune.

Pluto is about 40 AU = forty times the distance from the Earth to the Sun.

The Sun is 93 million miles away.  So Pluto is about 3.7 billion miles away.

Our probe generally travel at about 17,000 miles per hour, or five miles per second.  Do the division, it's many years.

  9. there is a probe on its way I believe its taken 10 years to get there

    New Horizons rockets to Pluto

Journey to planet will take almost 10 years
