you can make a bootable cd in Nero.

1. use can use Nero's boot files to be added on the cd.

2. use can use ur O/S boot files e.g. Dos/Win 98. In this method Nero will ask u to insert a bootable floppy disk in FDD.

3. there are some other utilities like Notron, which come the Bootable option.

4. use can use ur O/S to create a bootable disk like all versions of Windows.

5. All the lattest O/Ss installs with bootable cd/dvds.

megazines Digit/PC Quest etc. all give utilities to make bootable cd/DVDs.

do you have a windows xp disk file?

if so you can use most cd burners to create the bootable disk.

most disk files come as cd images (iso etc) so find something to do with burning image to disk in whatever burning program you use, and well, burn it.

Insert a floppy disk into your computer's floppy drive.

Open My Computer, and then click the floppy disk drive to select it.

On the File menu, point to the name of the floppy drive, and then click Format.

Under Format options, click Create an MS-DOS startup disk.

Click Start.

If you have Nero or Roxio or some other burning software, there is usually an option to make a bootable CD.
