How may times a week do soldiers in basic in the army get mail call?

my brother-inlaw is in there and i wanted to know how many times he gets mail a week

When I did Army basic back in the 80's it was every day except Sunday.  Sounds like it is pretty close to the same now.  Let me tell you, those letters from home are precious jewels that you will hold close to your heart in a way that you wouldn't believe, if you haven't done something like basic training before.  I remember being so homesick but I got through it. :)

mon thru fri my hubby was denied though if his group did something wrong or was being punished. they always got it and then it was lights out...
